RNP runs a backbone service for the academic and research community, offering Internet access through its regional Points of Presence. The RNP PoPs, which make up the national backbone, are present throughout the nation, especially in capital cities. Links with RNP are restricted to regional academic networks, though in states where such infrastructure is unavailable, educational and research organizations may link up directly to the backbone. |
