2nd Latin American Conference for Security Incident Response (Colaris)

FIRST Technical Colloquium October, from 7 to 12, 2006 - Rio de Janeiro - Brazil

The brazilian academic research network (RNP – Rede Nacional de Ensino e Pesquisa) offers sponsorship quotas for the events ‘FIRST Technical Colloquium’ and ‘2nd Latin American Conference for Security Incidents Response (Colaris)’, which will take place for the first time in Brazil, from October 7 to 12, in the city of Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The events are being organized by RNP in partnership with FIRST (Forum of Incident Response Security Teams), an international organization that gathers security incident response teams (or “CSIRTs” – Computer Security Incident Response Teams).

The FIRST Technical Colloquia take place since 1996, exclusively for FIRST members. However, this year it will be provided on a new format, extending its target public to a more broader audience, including non-first members at an adjacent event, Colaris. This new model was successfully inaugurated last year, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is the second time both events are held outside Europe or outside North America.

Approximately 300 attendees are expected, among security specialists and Information Technology (IT) professionals from the entire world: people that, in many cases, have the responsibility to decide on the acquisition of equipment and software for their companies or institutions.

In view of the dynamic nature and vertiginous growth of the security area and the recognized level of the speakers, a record audience is expected. Do not miss out on this opportunity to present your trademark and products to this highly qualified target audience. The sponsorship quotas are limited: guarantee your participation now.

About the events

Some of the most respected specialists of our time will be present. Registration to the event costs R$ 50.00. This amount is symbolic, and has the single purpose of guaranteeing the presence of the people that enroll.
