RNP > Events

With the aim of promoting the innovative use of advanced networks, RNP organizes events that gather network researchers in Brazil and abroad. During these events, the results of state-of-the-art research are reported, new technologies are presented and the future of the academic Internet and its applications is discussed.

RNP also participates in events organized by other institutions, often being invited to present its experience on these occasions.

2nd Colaris RNP, the brazilian academic and research network, and its Security Incidents Response Assitance Center (CAIS) organize the 2nd Colaris (Latin American Conference for Security Incident Response), which is going to occur in Rio de Janeiro, from October 7 to 10, 2006. The event preceds the FIRST Technical Colloquium.

Workshop RNP

The Workshop RNP is an annual event promoted by the Rede Nacional de Ensino e Pesquisa (RNP) since 1999. It is totally dedicated to advanced applications and high performance academic networks. This event gathers the elite of the network community in the country; research and development groups on high performance network technologies and advanced applications; representatives from governmental organizations; executives from telecommunications companies; and suppliers of equipment and services for high performance networks.

The program of the workshop includes lectures of foreign specialists and technical sessions of network engineering and advanced applications, besides presentations about the latest news and the future of the infrastructure of the Brazilian academic network.
